I love this story.

I love this! It summons up good memories of my first job…unsurprisingly teaching swim lessons. 😁

Probably doesn't matter what the first job was. It's where we learned everything. So glad you stuck with yours!

Another great story. (They must have closed due to the horrible logo. Looks like someone graffitied a Wendy’s. )

The only thing worse than their logo were their busser uniforms. Ugggh. But it was the eighties, after all.

Shelley, you make everything seem fun, even what could have just been a tedious experience!

I remember nothing but fun and adventure (although, at the time, it was probably very tedious). Thanks for reading, Jane.

Thanks for rekindling some fun memories of a really special person in my life who took us to a Mr. Steak restaurant in Kankakee, Illinois when I was 7 or 8 years old. A family friend took a helium balloon and breathed in a bit of the helium and did a hilarious chipmunk-like imitation, as we were walking out after my first ever steak dinner in a restaurant. Sadly, he was killed while driving and trying to beat a train at a train crossing not long after that (after first not seeing it on time), but all the cherished memories remain, becoming part of the warp and woof of my life.
